This team of highly motivated, talented and responsive Consultants is headed by Margaret E. Ekam, with over 14 years of unique and extensive expertise in communications, media, management, public affairs, government relations, public policy, and law. An adept, effective and successful advocate for LeXam's clients, Margaret Ekam possesses subject matter expertise in verbal/written and inter-personal communication skills, public relations, publications, policy and legislative analysis and advocacy, policy and procedure development, branding, and staff management. Result-driven, she is capable of facilitating and orchestrating complex relationships and environments with an understanding of diverse audiences and stakeholders to successful convey information and ensure all needs are met. In her previous experience as Vice President for Communications with Black America?s Political Action Committee (BAMPAC ? the leading minority political action committee in the United States), Ms. Ekam planned, developed and managed the organizations communications strategy.
A valuable and powerful resource, Grace Oven offers the client a wealth of over twenty (20) years of experience rooted in media, community relations, and targeted marketing. A respected professional, community leader and activist, Ms. Oven is an active member of the Latino Community Advisory Committee to Chief Thomas Manger, Montgomery County Police; and is a current member of the Montgomery County Latino Health Initiative Committee. She is also currently the co-producer and host of weekly TV show Revista Semanal Montgomery and currently writes for El Tiempo Latino (owned by Washington Post). Ms. Oven is a past Recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award for "personal contribution and service to the citizens of Montgomery County" (1994), and Graduate of Leadership Montgomery (1996). She is a committed and result oriented advocate who will employ her vast experience to advance the mission of the clients.
